Takeuchi TB210R fits into what I would call the micro plus segment. This mini excavator is compact enough to squeeze through very narrow access points and to work in backyards or tight urban plots, yet the digging power and hydraulic smoothness feel closer to a bigger 1.5 ton machine. Most operators I talk to are happy with the build quality and the zero tail swing design, although opinions on comfort and stability are not completely aligned. Some people get on well with the joystick layout and feel they can sit on it all day, while others prefer the feel of machines such as the Bobcat E10. When you stretch the long boom right out you can sometimes sense the machine getting a little light on its feet, which is worth keeping in mind on awkward ground. On used or ex rental Takeuchi TB210R units I always check the hydraulics, pins and bushings and the undercarriage very carefully, because these tiny excavators often work very hard regardless of what the hour meter suggests.
